Congressional Art Competition
Our office is excited to announce that we are now accepting submissions for the Congressional Art Competition from high school students across Missouri’s First District. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to encourage, recognize, and showcase artistic talent from youth across our country.
This year’s theme for MO-01 students is ‘Inspire STL’. The overall winner from our district will have the selected artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. The exhibit in Washington, D.C. will also include artwork from other contest winners nationwide.
Local community artists judge all entries and select one first place winner, a second place, third place, and two runners-up, as well as two honorable mentions, and the “So St. Louis” award for the student that closely matches this year’s theme. On May 26th, the Office of Congresswoman Cori Bush will host a reception to honor and recognize the winners and honorable mentions.
