Congresswoman Bush Statement in Support of IAM District 837 Machinists
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congresswoman Cori Bush (MO-01) released the following statement in support of the IAM District 837 Machinists as they voted to strike Boeing Monday, August 1st, 2022.
“As Congresswoman for Missouri’s First District, I am proud to stand with our Machinists and other union workers. I am concerned about the state of negotiations between IAM District 837 and Boeing Management — and request that management return to the bargaining table. Our neighbors at IAM District 837 have sacrificed eight years without a pay-increase, they deserve for their 401k’s to be adequately compensated. The Boeing Corporation must put forward a contract that is both fair and equitable.”
