Congresswoman Cori Bush, St. Louis Area Libraries, Launch Neighborhood Service Centers
ST. LOUIS, MO. — Today, Congresswoman Cori Bush (MO-01), announced a new partnership between her St. Louis District Office, the St. Louis Public Library, and the St. Louis County Library. Starting today, the Office of Congresswoman Cori Bush’s constituent services team will operate Neighborhood Service Centers at four local libraries in St. Louis City and St. Louis County to assist our neighbors with navigating federal agencies, immigration casework, and other local issues impacting the community.
“Constituent service is about meeting our neighbors where they are,” said Congresswoman Cori Bush. “As we work to do the most for everyone in Missouri’s First District beginning with those who have the least, we have to make our constituent services program as accessible as possible. That’s why we’re launching ‘Congress in your Neighborhood’. Our libraries are pillars in the neighborhood — providing vital services, safe spaces to gather, and connections to essential resources. I’m grateful to the St. Louis Public Library and the St. Louis County Library for their partnership in this effort, and I’m beyond excited to see the impact our constituent services team will have on the lives and livelihoods of our community members through their expanded programming.”
"Our mission is to connect people with resources, provide information and enrich our neighborhoods," said Waller McGuire, Chief Executive Officer of St. Louis Public Library. "This partnership is yet another way St. Louis Public Library can support our customers and help to better the lives of those in our community."
“Libraries often provide a sense of belonging in the communities where they are located,” said Kristen Sorth, St. Louis County Library Director and CEO. “People visit our St. Louis County Library branches to use computers and check out books and other materials, but they can also get a COVID-19 vaccine, free online tutoring, job help, after school meals and even free diapers. We are pleased to partner with Congresswoman Bush to provide a space where individuals can connect one on one to gain greater access to programs and services.”
The Neighborhood Service Centers will run twice weekly at each of the following locations:
- St. Louis City (Monday and Wednesday):
- Walnut Park Library: 5760 W Florissant Ave, St. Louis, MO 63120 (12 PM - 5 PM)
- Carpenter Library: 3309 S Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63118 (9 AM - 2 PM)

The Office of Congresswoman Cori Bush’s constituent services team provides a wide range of services to Missouri’s First District including help with federal agencies, immigration assistance, tax resources, obtaining federal documents, securing passports, military service academy nominations, and more.
