Congresswoman Bush Announces Applications Open for Fiscal Year 2024 Community Project Funding

APPLY HERE: Deadline for submission is March 17

Washington D.C. (Mar. 14, 2023) — Congresswoman Cori Bush (MO-01) is excited to announce that her office will be accepting Community Project Funding (CPF) requests from Missouri’s First District to submit to the House Appropriations Committee for Fiscal Year 2024.

Community Project Funding allows Members of Congress the opportunity to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent. This year, each member may only submit up to 15 Community Project Funding requests to the Appropriations Committee. In the past, previously funded projects have typically ranged between $100K-$5M.

“I am proud to announce that our office is now accepting applications for community project funding requests,” said Congresswoman Bush. “Over the last two years since it started, my office has delivered millions of dollars through this community project funding process – securing critical investments for initiatives across both St. Louis City and St. Louis County. I encourage all local grassroots organizations, nonprofits, and local governments to apply for this funding, and I look forward to reviewing applications and selecting projects that will build on the investments we have already secured for our district.”

Due to new leadership in the House of Representatives, the timeline, guidance and eligibility of projects that can receive CPF funding is different from previous years. Projects that our office was able to consider in previous years, may no longer qualify. For a list of the projects that can qualify, please click HERE.

Last year, Congresswoman Bush secured funding for all 15 projects she submitted and was able to deliver $18,362,457 in Community Project Funding for St. Louis in this year's 2023 government funding package. This funding responds directly to some of the most pressing needs in St. Louis, including housing, violence prevention, economic development, public health, substance use treatment, and youth engagement.
